Tourism

Its hard to build tourism into long road trips. The TMT trail is spectacular and has been designed to take in some of the best passes, mountains and scenery but does not cover tourist destinations. We have not planned to go to the souks or markets but there are a few destination names that seem to come up quite often. So far its just a job to compile everything and see what fits closer to the time. Ideally we could arrange a rest day near to one of the targets becuase its unlikely they would just be drive past opportunities.

Some like the Sahara café might themselves be overnight destinations and will give us a chance to meet others on the TMT trail. I have driven the sand dunes in the Kalahari and Namibia deserts but we may get a chance to to some guided tour in the dunes of the Sahara ticking another selfie box.
